The Department of Elections Begins Mailing the Voter Information Pamphlet and Sample Ballot for the November 6 Election

SAN FRANCISCO, Monday, October 1, 2018 –The Department of Elections has begun mailing the Voter Information Pamphlet and Sample Ballot to registered voters for the November 6 Consolidated General Election.

In addition to a Sample Ballot, the pamphlet includes information about candidates and measures, voting options, election dates and deadlines, each voter’s polling place address, and other important election resources.

Voters may also access the pamphlet online by clicking “I WANT TO …Read my Voter Pamphlet” on the homepage of sfelections.org. Currently the pamphlet is posted in PDF format with HTML, XML, and MP3 formats following by the end of this week.

The Department of Elections also offers the pamphlet in accessible formats, including large print and audio on USB flash drive, National Library Service cartridge, cassette, or compact disc (CD). Voters may request one of these formats by calling (415) 554-4375, TTY (415) 554-4386, or emailing sfvote@sfelections.org.

All voters receive a pamphlet in English. Those who have requested election materials in Chinese, Spanish, or Filipino will also receive a copy in their preferred language. Voters may request translated election materials when registering or any time at sfelections.org/language or by calling (415) 554-4375. 

The Department of Elections encourages voters to prepare for voting by reviewing all official local and state election material carefully and marking their choices on the worksheet or sample ballot included in their pamphlets.
