Department of Elections
City and County of San Francisco
John Arntz, Director

For Immediate Release
SAN FRANCISCO, Friday, November 13, 2020 – The San Francisco Department of Elections issued the 13th preliminary election results report of votes cast for the November 3, 2020, Consolidated General Election.

Today’s report includes 380 votes since yesterday’s preliminary results report.

The Department is current with the processing of ballots. However, the Department can still process vote-by-mail ballots postmarked on or before Election Day which the Department receives by November 20.  Also, the Department may still receive vote-by-mail ballots that voters delivered to another county, as well as vote-by-mail ballots for which voters cure issues such as not signing the return envelopes.

Today, the Department received and processed one ballot with a valid postmark from the United States Postal Service, 220 vote-by-mail ballots that voters originally delivered to another county, and processed 13 ballots that voters cured.

Department personnel will work until 5 p.m. today.  The Department will close for the weekend.

For any days the Department processes ballots, the Department will release updated results reports, including weekends, at 4 p.m. and will post preliminary results reports on the Department’s website:

When releasing results, the Department also will post summary results, as well as results according to precincts, neighborhoods, and Supervisorial districts, and in multiple formats.
