For Immediate Release
SAN FRANCISCO, Monday, July 23, 2018 – The San Francisco Department of Elections invites organizations, the media, and members of the public to participate in an interactive demonstration of a proposed voting system.

The demonstration will take place outside the Department’s office at City Hall, Room 48, July 25 – 27, and July 30 and 31, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. each day.

The voting system vendor will be on hand to explain the system’s features, answer questions, and support members of the public in marking demonstration ballots. The vendor will also demonstrate the tabulation and adjudication of ballots for results.

The interactive demonstration will also include a series of Power Point presentations that will provide an overall description of the voting system, highlight key functionality, and discuss areas of interest including Ranked-Choice Voting.

The demonstration will provide the Department with initial feedback from the public about the experience, which will inform and support our future efforts to educate San Francisco voters on using the new system.

For more information, or to indicate your interest in attending this event, contact the Department at sfvote@sfgov.org or (415) 554-4375.
