SAN FRANCISCO, Thursday, June 16, 2022 – Today the San Francisco Department of Elections issued the 10th preliminary election results report of votes cast in the June 7, 2022, Consolidated Statewide Direct Primary Election.

Today’s report includes 207 ballots mostly comprised of vote-by-mail and precinct ballots that required review before processing.

Tuesday, June 14, was the deadline for the Department to receive vote-by-mail ballots with postmarks on or before Election Day to be eligible for counting.  Prior to Tuesday’s deadline, Department personnel obtained nine vote-by-mail ballots during their visit to the USPS’ San Francisco facilities, three of which had valid postmarks.

Today the Department began the manual tally of 1% of the ballots cast and will continue the tally tomorrow at the Department’s warehouse on Pier 31 at 8 a.m.  The process is open to public observation and is livestreamed on the Department’s website: www.sfelections.org/observe.

The Department expects to issue last preliminary results report on June 21 at 4 p.m., and to certify the election next week.  All results reports are posted on the Department’s website: sfelections.org/results

When releasing results, the Department will also post summary results, as well as results according to precincts, neighborhoods, and Supervisorial districts, and in multiple formats.
