For Immediate Release
SAN FRANCISCO, Monday, September 26, 2016–The Department of Elections has posted the Voter Information Pamphlet for the November 8 election online.

HTML and PDF versions of the Pamphlet can be accessed from the “Voting in the November 8, 2016, Election” section of under “Voter guides and sample ballot.” The Pamphlet will also be posted in MP3 audio format in early October.

The Voter Information Pamphlet includes information about the voting process, election dates and deadlines, an impartial summary of each local ballot measure, candidate statements, and other information to help voters make their decisions in the November 8 election.

The online Pamphlet provides the Polling Place and Sample Ballot Lookup. Voters input their home address to access their sample ballot and polling place details, including the type of facility (such as a school or public library), cross streets, and accessibility information, such as slope at the entrance.

The Pamphlet also includes the Ballot Worksheet, which lists every contest and measure and provides space for voters to note their selections. Voters can print and mark a copy of the Worksheet, or they can type their choices into the fillable form, which can be saved to finish or print later. Marking their choices on the Worksheet in advance may help voters save time when voting.

The Department will begin mailing the Voter Information Pamphlet and Sample Ballot to San Francisco voters in early October when the production of nearly 470,000 copies is complete.

To request a pamphlet in a different language or format, voters may contact the Department of Elections at (415) 554-4375 or
