The Ballot Simplification Committee will be meeting on December 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 8 to prepare digests of local ballot measures to be voted on in San Francisco in the March 2, 2004 election.

Currently, the following seven Charter Amendments have been submitted for the March 2004 ballot (all titles are tentative working titles only):
            District Attorney Retirement Benefits
            Domestic Partners Retirement Benefits
            Reclassification of Deputy Sheriffs (Retirement)
            Deferred Taxation Plan (Accrued Sick Leave/Vacation)
            Public Education Fund (Universal Daycare)
            Supplemental Military Pay
            Patriot Act (Production of City Records)

In addition, one Initiative Ordinance, tentatively titled Incentives to Build Below Market Rate Housing and Exceptions to Density Restrictions (Workforce Housing Initiative), is being reviewed for qualification for the ballot.  The Mayor, the Board of Supervisors, or four or more members of the Board of Supervisors may also submit Ordinances and Declarations of Policy for the ballot by December 3.

The agenda for the Ballot Simplification Committee's meetings is attached below.  All meetings will be held in City Hall, on the fourth floor.
