SAN FRANCISCO, Saturday, February 19, 2022 – Today the San Francisco Department of Elections issued the sixth preliminary election results report of votes cast in the February 15, 2022, Consolidated Special Municipal Election.

Today’s report includes the 4,901 ballots processed since yesterday’s preliminary results report.

The estimated total number of ballots to process is around 500, which consists of mostly vote-by-mail ballots.

Today the Department received approximately 70 vote-by-mail ballots from the United States Postal Service (USPS).  After review, the Department determined 39 return envelopes were postmarked on or before Election Day and eligible for processing. The Department will continue to process vote-by-mail ballots with valid postmarks and are received through Tuesday, February 22, from the USPS or a bona fide private mail delivery company.

Department personnel will be in City Hall until 5 p.m. today, and tomorrow, Sunday, February 20, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.  The Department will not process ballots tomorrow or Monday, February 21, and will not be issuing preliminary results reports on those days.

All preliminary results reports are posted on the Department’s website: sfelections.org/feb2022results

When releasing results, the Department also will post summary results, as well as results according to precincts, neighborhoods, and Supervisorial districts, and in multiple formats.
