Today Is the Deadline to Register To Vote in the June 5 Election

SAN FRANCISCO, Monday, May 21, 2018– Today is the deadline to register to vote or to update registration information for the June 5 election.

Those who are not sure if they are registered to vote or whether their registration information is current are advised to check their registration at sfelections.org/reglookup or call the Department of Elections at (415) 554-4375.

There are several ways to register to vote before today’s deadline:

  • Online at registertovote.ca.gov before midnight. Online registration is an option for all citizens who live in California
  • From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Department of Elections’ office in City Hall, Room 48
  • From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with Department staff at City Hall’s main entrance on Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place (Polk Street)

Those who plan to mail their Voter Registration Cards are reminded that the Voter Registration Cards must be postmarked with today’s date, May 21.
