Public Notice: Random Selection of Precincts for Official Canvass Manual Tally


As required by California Elections Code § 15360, the Department of Elections will conduct a public manual tally of all ballots, including vote-by-mail ballots, cast in one percent of San Francisco precincts, as part of the Official Canvass of the November 5, 2013 Municipal Election. The random selection of five precincts will take place on Wednesday, November 6, at 11:00 a.m., at the Department of Elections, City Hall, Room 48, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place, San Francisco, CA 94102.

Use of Cameras to Stream Video over Internet

NOTICE:

Use of Cameras to Stream Video over Internet

The San Francisco Department of Elections will use cameras to stream live video over the Internet while handling vote-by-mail ballots. The Department will have one camera placed in the hallway near City Hall room 59 to stream activity associated with the removal of ballots from their envelopes. The Department will place a second camera inside City Hall room 59 to stream activity associated with the sorting and opening of returned envelopes.
