The Department of Elections Begins Logic and Accuracy Testing of the Voting Equipment for the November 3 Election

SAN FRANCISCO, Friday, September 11, 2020 – In preparation for the November 3, 2020, Consolidated General Election, the Department of Elections will begin Logic and Accuracy testing of the voting equipment on Friday, September 18. A detailed schedule of Logic and Accuracy testing, including dates and hours, is available at sfelections.org/observe.

SAN FRANCISCO, Friday, August 14, 2020 – The deadline to submit an official opponent argument associated with district ballot measure “RR, Caltrain Sales Tax” is noon, Tuesday, August 18.  The official opponent argument will appear in the San Francisco Voter Information Pamphlet for the November 3, 2020, election.

November 3, 2020, Consolidated General Election: Extension of Candidate Nomination Deadlines for Board of Education and Community College Board

SAN FRANCISCO, Friday, August 7, 2020 – The nomination deadlines for candidates for the Board of Education and Community College Board have been extended five calendar days because the incumbents have chosen not to pursue re-election.

Non-incumbent candidates may obtain and file nomination documents, signatures, and fees with the Department of Elections by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, to appear on the ballot.

SAN FRANCISCO, Tuesday, June 9, 2020 – According to state elections law, the deadline is extended to June 15 for candidates to file nomination papers for the District 1 office for the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.  The reason for this extension is the incumbent did not file nomination papers by the June 9 nomination deadline

The final turnout is 60.56%, representing votes cast by 305,184 of San Francisco’s 503,899 registered voters.

Today’s report includes 418 votes consisting of results from vote-by-mail and provisional ballots.
