SAN FRANCISCO, Monday, March 18, 2019 – Last week, the City approved a lease agreement between the Department of Elections and Dominion Voting Systems for the use of Dominion’s voting system, Democracy Suite, to conduct elections in San Francisco. The Department of Elections will conduct the City’s November 5, 2019, Consolidated Municipal Election using the new system.

SAN FRANCISCO, Friday, February 1, 2019 — On Tuesday, February 5, the Department of Elections will conduct the canvass of ballots cast in the special election to establish a SoMa West Community Benefit District (CBD).

The canvass will take place immediately after a final hearing before the Board of Supervisors, scheduled at 3 p.m. in City Hall, Room 250. Elections staff will be available outside Room 250 to provide assistance for voters starting at 2 p.m.

SAN FRANCISCO, Monday, November 26, 2018 – Today the San Francisco Department of Elections issued the 18^th preliminary election results report of votes cast for the November 6, 2018, Consolidated General Election. 

Today’s preliminary report includes results from the remaining ballots for this election to process.  Today’s report includes approximately 57 vote-by-mail ballots and 330 provisional ballots.

SAN FRANCISCO, Saturday, November 17, 2018 – Today the San Francisco Department of Elections randomly selected one percent of the precincts used in the November 6, 2018, Consolidated General Election, to conduct a manual count of ballot cards to compare against results from the voting equipment as part of the Official Canvass.

SAN FRANCISCO, Friday, November 16, 2018 – Today the San Francisco Department of Elections issued the 14^th preliminary election results report of votes cast for the November 6, 2018, Consolidated General Election. 

Today’s report includes results from approximately 8,000 ballots.  The Department must still process approximately 9,000 vote-by-mail and provisional ballots.
