	SAN FRANCISCO, Tuesday, August 24, 2021 –The deadline to register to vote or update registration information and receive a ballot in the mail for the September 14, 2021 election is Monday, August 30, 2021.

	SAN FRANCISCO, Tuesday, August 17, 2021 – The Department of Elections has begun processing returned vote-by-mail ballots for the September 14, 2021, California Gubernatorial Recall Election. Ballot processing will continue daily thereafter from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or until all ballots are processed for the day until the Official Canvass is complete.
