SAN FRANCISCO, Monday, January 8, 2018 – The nomination period closes on Tuesday, January 9 for candidates for the office of Mayor and for the office of the District 8 Member of the Board of Supervisors. The offices of Mayor and District 8 Member of the Board of Supervisors will both appear on the ballot for the June 5, 2018, election.

SAN FRANCISCO, Wednesday, December 13 – The period for candidates to gather voter signatures to reduce the cost of filing nomination papers for the offices of Mayor and District 8 Member of the Board of Supervisors is open; this period ends Tuesday, December 26, at 5 p.m. The offices of Mayor and District 8 Member of the Board of Supervisors will both appear on the ballot for the June 5, 2018, election.

Today’s report includes votes tallied from approximately 163 vote-by-mail ballots, 7,833 provisional ballots, and from an approximate total of 38,857 cards.
