November 5, 2019, Consolidated Municipal Election: Extension of Candidate Nomination Deadlines for Offices of District Attorney and Sheriff

SAN FRANCISCO, Friday, August 9, 2019 – The nomination deadlines for candidates for offices of District Attorney and Sheriff have been extended five calendar days because the incumbents did not file.

Non-incumbent candidates may obtain and file nomination documents, signatures, and fees with the Department of Elections by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14, to appear on the ballot.

SAN FRANCISCO, Wednesday, May 22, 2019 — On Wednesday, May 29, the Department of Elections will conduct the canvass of ballots cast in the Retiree Health Care Trust Fund Board (RHCTFB) election.

The canvass will take place at 8:30 a.m. in City Hall, Room 59.

SAN FRANCISCO, Monday, March 18, 2019 – Last week, the City approved a lease agreement between the Department of Elections and Dominion Voting Systems for the use of Dominion’s voting system, Democracy Suite, to conduct elections in San Francisco. The Department of Elections will conduct the City’s November 5, 2019, Consolidated Municipal Election using the new system.

Notice: Department of Elections Will Canvass SoMa West Community Benefit District Ballots on February 5, 2019

SAN FRANCISCO, Friday, February 1, 2019 — On Tuesday, February 5, the Department of Elections will conduct the canvass of ballots cast in the special election to establish a SoMa West Community Benefit District (CBD).

The canvass will take place immediately after a final hearing before the Board of Supervisors, scheduled at 3 p.m. in City Hall, Room 250. Elections staff will be available outside Room 250 to provide assistance for voters starting at 2 p.m.

SAN FRANCISCO, Monday, November 26, 2018 – Today the San Francisco Department of Elections issued the 18th preliminary election results report of votes cast for the November 6, 2018, Consolidated General Election. 

Today’s preliminary report includes results from the remaining ballots for this election to process.  Today’s report includes approximately 57 vote-by-mail ballots and 330 provisional ballots.
