SAN FRANCISCO, Saturday, October 19, 2019 – Voting for the November 5 election is underway at the Voting Center in City Hall and by mail. As Election Day nears, the Department of Elections reminds those who have not yet cast their ballots of important deadlines.

Monday, October 21, is the deadline to register to vote or to update registration information for the November 5 election.

The Department of Elections Begins Logic and Accuracy Testing of the Voting Equipment for the November 5 Election

SAN FRANCISCO, Wednesday, September 25, 2019 – The Department of Elections is set to begin Logic and Accuracy testing of the voting equipment to be used in the November 5 election.  The voting machines that comprise San Francisco’s voting system are the ImageCast Evolution Ballot-Scanning Machine, ImageCast X Ballot-Marking Device, and ImageCast Central Scanner, all of which are subject to testing.

The Department of Elections Invites San Franciscans to Volunteer as Poll Workers on Election Day, Tuesday, November 5

SAN FRANCISCO, Thursday, September 12, 2019– The Department of Elections is actively recruiting people interested in serving as poll workers. Poll workers are community volunteers who administer voting at polling places across the City on Election Day. For their service, poll workers receive a stipend ranging from $180 to $240, depending on the assignment.
