SAN FRANCISCO, Tuesday, April 5, 2016 –The Department of Elections invites representatives from political parties’ central committees, the Civil Grand Jury, the League of Women Voters, advocacy groups, the media, and any other groups or individuals to join the Official Election Observer Panel for the June 7 election.

Department of Elections Seeks Neighborhood Polling Places for June Presidential Primary Election

SAN FRANCISCO, Thursday, March 31, 2016 – For the June 7, 2016, Presidential Primary Election, the Department of Elections will provide 576 neighborhood polling places, an increase of 194 sites form last November’s election. Each polling place serves a maximum of 1,000 registered voters who live in the surrounding neighborhood.

SAN FRANCISCO, Tuesday, February 16, 2016 – Yesterday marked the opening of the period during which candidates planning to run for voter-nominated or judicial offices in the June 7, 2016, election may obtain and file nomination papers at the Department of Elections. 

Candidates must submit all nomination documents, signatures, and fees by 5 p.m. on Friday, March 11, to appear on the ballot.
