SAN FRANCISCO, October 27, 2014 – The Department of Elections reminds voters who have not yet returned their vote-by-mail ballots that those ballots must be received by the Department no later than 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 4. As of Saturday, October 25, the Department received 38,072 voted ballots, which represents 16% of the total number of ballots issued.

Department of Elections Extends Voting Hours in City Hall for the November 4 Election

SAN FRANCISCO, October 21, 2014 – The Department of Elections will extend its office hours –adding weekend hours – to allow greater opportunity for San Franciscans to vote in the November 4, 2014, Consolidated General Election.

Starting this Saturday, October 25, the early voting counter will be open to voters every day through Election Day, Tuesday, November 4.

U. S. Postal Service has alerted the Department of Elections that some vote-by-mail ballot packets were damaged

SAN FRANCISCO, October 10, 2014 – The United States Postal Service has alerted the Department of Elections that some exterior envelopes of vote-by-mail ballot packets were damaged while being processed through postal equipment. The USPS is working to determine the scope of the issue. It has notified all of its units to return any damaged ballot packets that have not yet entered the mail stream to the Department of Elections.
