SAN FRANCISCO, Friday, October 2, 2020–The Department of Elections will send vote-by-mail ballot packets for the November 3 election to all registered San Francisco voters. Voters will begin receiving their ballots in the mail the week of October 5.

SAN FRANCISCO, Friday, October 2, 2020 – Voting in the November 3, 2020, Consolidated General Election begins on Monday, October 5.

For the November 3 election, the Department of Elections has relocated the City Hall Voting Center to an outdoor area in front of Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on 99 Grove Street, between Polk and Larkin streets.

SAN FRANCISCO, Friday, September 11, 2020 – In preparation for the November 3, 2020, Consolidated General Election, the Department of Elections will begin Logic and Accuracy testing of the voting equipment on Friday, September 18. SAN FRANCISCO, Friday, August 7, 2020 – The nomination deadlines for candidates for the Board of Education and Community College Board have been extended five calendar days because the incumbents have chosen not to pursue re-election.

Non-incumbent candidates may obtain and file nomination documents, signatures, and fees with the Department of Elections by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, to appear on the ballot.
