SAN FRANCISCO, Wednesday, March 7, 2018 – On Monday, March 12, at 11 a.m., the Department of Elections will select and assign a letter to identify each local measure that will appear on the ballot for the June 5, 2018, Consolidated Statewide Direct Primary Election.

SAN FRANCISCO, Monday, March 5, 2018 –The San Francisco Department of Elections mailed nearly 54,000 notices to inform voters that they have the option to receive the official ballot and other election materials in Chinese, Spanish, or Filipino, in addition to English. The Department sent the notices to voters born in countries where those languages are spoken, and who have not previously requested translated materials.

SAN FRANCISCO, Friday, February 23, 2018 – The Department of Elections announces a workshop that will focus on the process for submitting arguments in favor of or against local ballot measures to be voted on in the June 5 election. The arguments will be printed in San Francisco’s Voter Information Pamphlet, which is mailed by the Department of Elections to every registered voter before the election.

SAN FRANCISCO, Monday, January 8, 2018 – The nomination period closes on Tuesday, January 9 for candidates for the office of Mayor and for the office of the District 8 Member of the Board of Supervisors. The offices of Mayor and District 8 Member of the Board of Supervisors will both appear on the ballot for the June 5, 2018, election.

SAN FRANCISCO, Wednesday, December 13 – The period for candidates to gather voter signatures to reduce the cost of filing nomination papers for the offices of Mayor and District 8 Member of the Board of Supervisors is open; this period ends Tuesday, December 26, at 5 p.m. The offices of Mayor and District 8 Member of the Board of Supervisors will both appear on the ballot for the June 5, 2018, election.
