Department of Elections Continues Recruiting Poll Workers for the June 5 Election

SAN FRANCISCO, Tuesday, May 8, 2018–The Department of Elections seeks poll workers for the June 5 election. 

For one day of service, poll workers receive a stipend ranging from $142 to $195, depending on their assignment. People fluent in Chinese, Spanish, Filipino, Vietnamese, or Korean in addition to English are encouraged to apply.

Vote-by-Mail Ballots for the June 5 Election Will Arrive in Mailboxes Soon!

SAN FRANCISCO, Friday, May 4, 2018 – The Department of Elections will soon begin mailing ballots for the June 5 election. Starting next week, nearly 290,000 San Franciscans—60 percent of registered voters—will receive their ballots in the mail. Along with their ballots, voters will receive voting instructions with information about ballot return options and deadlines.

Department of Elections Begins Logic and Accuracy Testing of the Voting Equipment to be Used in the June 5 Election

SAN FRANCISCO, Wednesday, April 25, 2018 – Logic and Accuracy testing of all voting equipment to be used in the June 5 election will begin on Friday, April 27. Following is a testing schedule:

Optech 400-C machines, used primarily to tabulate vote-by-mail ballots
When: Friday, April 27, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with a break from noon to 1 p.m.
Where: At the Department’s computer room, located in City Hall, Room 48
