SAN FRANCISCO, Monday, September 24, 2018–The Department of Elections is seeking individuals to serve as poll workers on Election Day, Tuesday, November 6.
To sign up to be poll workers, people can call (415) 554-4395 or apply in person at the Department of Elections in City Hall, Room 48.

SAN FRANCISCO, Tuesday, September 18, 2018 – Next Tuesday, September 25, is National Voter Registration Day.
To bring attention to voter registration and voting, on September 25, members of the Department of Elections’ Outreach Team will travel to several neighborhoods throughout the City in a “cable car” bus and host registration and voter education pop-up events.

SAN FRANCISCO, Friday, August 10, 2018 – The nomination deadlines for candidates for the Board of Education and BART Director (District 8) have been extended five calendar days because the incumbents have chosen not to pursue re-election.
Non-incumbent candidates may obtain and file nomination documents, signatures, and fees with the Department of Elections by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, to appear on the ballot.

SAN FRANCISCO, Monday, July 23, 2018 – The San Francisco Department of Elections invites organizations, the media, and members of the public to participate in an interactive demonstration of a proposed voting system.
The demonstration will take place outside the Department’s office at City Hall, Room 48, July 25 – 27, and July 30 and 31, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. each day.
