Department of Elections Invites San Franciscans to Volunteer as Poll Workers on Election Day, November 8

SAN FRANCISCO, Monday, September 12, 2016– The Department of Elections invites San Franciscans to join the poll worker team on Tuesday, November 8.  

Each election, the Department of Elections recruits, trains, and assigns nearly 2,500 poll workers to assist voters in every part of the voting process at 576 polling places throughout the City.

SAN FRANCISCO, Friday, August 12, 2016 – The nomination deadlines for the Board of Education, Community College Board, and BART Director (District 9) have been extended five calendar days from today’s date.  Non-incumbent candidates may obtain and file nomination documents, signatures, and fees with the Department of Elections by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, to appear on the ballot.
