Department of Elections Mails Voter Information Pamphlets for the November 8 Election

SAN FRANCISCO, Tuesday, October 4, 2016 –On Monday, the Department of Elections began mailing the Voter Information Pamphlet and Sample Ballot for the November 8 election.

Approximately 180,000 pamphlets have already entered the mail for delivery to voters, with the remaining 280,000 pamphlets expected to arrive to post offices this week.

Department of Elections Begins Training Poll Workers for the November 8 Consolidated General Election

SAN FRANCISCO, Friday, September 30, 2016– This weekend, the Department of Elections will commence poll worker training in preparation for the November 8 election.

The Department’s training team will conduct over 130 training classes and practice labs over the next four weeks to prepare nearly 2,900 volunteers to assist voters in every part of the voting process at 576 locations throughout the City on Election Day.

Notice of Schedule Change: Logic and Accuracy Testing of Optech 400-C Machines

SAN FRANCISCO, Thursday, September 29, 2016– Logic and Accuracy testing of Optech 400-C machines to be used in the November 8, 2016, election has been rescheduled to begin on Friday, October 7, 2016.  Members of the public are welcome to observe the testing, either in person or via live streaming on sfelections.org/live.

City Hall Voting Center Opens in Less Than Two Weeks, on October 11

SAN FRANCISCO, Wednesday, September 28, 2016 – In less than two weeks, on October 11, the Department of Elections will open the Voting Center at City Hall. Anyone registered to vote in San Francisco can cast a ballot at the Voting Center prior to or on Election Day, which is Tuesday, November 8.

SAN FRANCISCO, Thursday, September 15, 2016 – The Department of Elections reminds voters that the deadline is approaching to request to stop mail delivery of the Voter Information Pamphlet for the November 8 election. Voters have until Monday, September 19, to opt out of receiving the pamphlet in their mail boxes and read the pamphlet online instead.
