SAN FRANCISCO, August 22, 2012 — As Election Day draws near, the Department of Elections is expanding its outreach efforts to provide voters with information about the November 6, 2012 Consolidated General Election.

SAN FRANCISCO, October 5, 2012 – Early voting at City Hall and the mailing of vote-by-mail ballots will begin next Tuesday, October 9. The Department of Elections will mail Voter Information Pamphlets to all currently registered voters by October 8.

SAN FRANCISCO, September 13, 2012 – San Francisco voters have until Monday, September 17 to opt out of receiving the paper Voter Information Pamphlet for the November election. By opting out, voters will receive their voter information online and reduce the resources needed to print and mail the Voter Information Pamphlet.

SAN FRANCISCO, October 9, 2012 – Early voting opens today at the Department of Elections in City Hall. The Department has also begun sending out over 200,000 vote-by-mail ballots, and has completed the mailing of Voter Information Pamphlets to currently registered voters.
