The Department of Elections is hosting its Open House on Thursday, October 18 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in preparation for the November 6, 2012 Consolidated General Election.

Open House at the Department of Elections, located on the ground floor of City Hall, is a great opportunity to get a first-hand look at how elections are conducted. The public is invited to the following:

SAN FRANCISCO, November 2, 2012 – The San Francisco Department of Elections must receive vote-by-mail ballots before the close of polls at 8 p.m. on November 6 for those ballots to be counted. Vote-by-mail envelopes that are postmarked before 8 p.m. but which arrive to the Department after this time cannot be counted.

The Department of Elections Encourages Voters to “Go Green”

Voters must opt out by September 17 for the change to take effect for the November 6, 2012 Consolidated General Election.
