SAN FRANCISCO, August 8, 2012 – Arguments for or against measures to be voted on in the November 6, 2012 Consolidated Presidential Primary Election to be held in the City and County of San Francisco may be submitted for inclusion in the Voter Information Pamphlet.

Check Your Polling Place Address Online

SAN FRANCISCO, November 4, 2011 – Many polling place locations have changed for the upcoming November 8 Municipal Election and the Department of Elections asking voters to check the address of their polling place at www.sfelections.org

Polling place consolidations are in effect this election, which will combine two neighboring precincts in the same district, providing a single shared polling place for both. As a result, many voters are assigned a new polling place location for this election.

Postmarks Will Not Count: Must Receive Vote-by-Mail Ballots by 8 p.m. on Election Day

<p>SAN FRANCISCO, November 4, 2011 – San Francisco voters must deliver their vote-by-mail ballots to a polling place or to the Department of Elections before the close of polls at 8 p.m. November 8 for those vote-by-mail ballots to be counted. Vote-by-mail envelopes that are postmarked before 8 p.m. but which arrive to the Department after this time cannot be counted.</p>

Today is Election Day – All Ballots Must Be Received by 8 p.m.

SAN FRANCISCO, November 8, 2011 – Today is Election Day for the 2011 Consolidated Municipal Election, and polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. citywide. Vote-by-mail ballots must be received by the Department of Elections by 8 p.m. tonight to be counted.

Results Are Certified for the November 8, 2011 Consolidated Municipal Election

SAN FRANCISCO, November 17, 2011 – The Department of Elections certified the final results for the November 8, 2011 Consolidated Municipal Election today.

After concluding the official canvass of election results, the Department of Elections certified the final vote totals for the offices of District Attorney, Sheriff, and Mayor, and the eight propositions that appeared on the November 8 ballot.
